GRO’S album Out of My Hands produced by Mark Endert (Natasha Bedingfield, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw), Jordan Critz, and Paul Ebersold (Sister Hazel, 3 Doors Down) was released in February of 2009, and their single “Come On” reached number 17 on Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary charts. Billboard magazine claims ‘Green River Ordinance establishes itself as a pop-rock act to keep an eye on in 2010’.VH1 and MTVU quickly picked up the music video of the debut single and put it into rotation. It was 2009 that became the band’s standout year touring 312 days with artists David Cook, Third Eye Blind, Gavin Degraw, and Collective Soul. With their single still in heavy rotation, and the band’s energy on stage, Green River Ordinance had a secure hold on their rapidly growing fan base, never hesitating for a moment in the success they were establishing. The fans, in fact, had become so immersed with the band that in New York City GRO broke the record sales at the Nokia Theater.

Recently, the band penned an inspirational song called ‘Rise Up’, exclusively for the AT&T Team USA Winter Olympics Compilation, joining world-renowned recording artists 3 Doors Down, Mariah Carey, Gloriana, Rascal Flatts, Puddle Of Mudd, Sugarland and others. They set out on their first headlining tour selling out city after city in preparation for their second single “On Your Own” impacting radio April 12. Green River Ordinance has already seen success with this song after it was featured as the sign off song on FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance.” They will continue headlining this spring and will be heading out to sea as part of VH1’s Best Cruise Ever hosted by 3 Doors Down - plus Lifehouse, Shinedown and more. The band has always had a strong vision about what they wanted to do musically, and is thrilled to see it becoming come true.
