Chromatics are a band from Portland, Oregon, whose lineup features singer Ruth Radelet, guitarist Adam Miller, drummer Nat Walker, and producer/multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel. Chromatics’ new studio album, Kill for Love, was released March 26, 2012.
They originally hailed from Seattle as a quartet featuring vocalist Adam Miller, drummer Hannah Blilie, guitarist Devin Welch, and bassist Michelle Nolan. That lineup debuted in 2002 with a Calvin Johnson-produced 7” on Gold Standard Laboratories — a split with Die Monitr Batss — and followed with the similarly GSL-issued Chrome Rats Vs Basement Ruts LP.
Directions from Union Park to Lincoln Hall: Take the Ashland-Lake Green Line Subway (1 minute walk from Union Park) east towards Cottage Grove (3 stops). Transfer to the Brown Line at Clark/Lake and head north towards Kimball. Hop off at the Fullerton stop and walk east on Fullerton one block, make a left on Lincoln Ave and Lincoln Hall will be on your left.
