Los Borrachos will be bringing down the house with their muy fantástico brand of Salsafunkadisco™* and may even be working in a couple of EXO covers. Oh my! Be there or be cuadrado.
*15 years ago, in a darkly lit bar in the remote barrio of Irving Park and Damen, the philosophy of Salsafunkadisco™ was hatched by 8 gentlemen musicians from various well known Chicago collectives. They would take rock music staples from the 60's, 70’s and 80's and twist them into maniacal magic, pouring tequila over them and setting them on fire - craftily reinventing the songs from Samba, Salsa, Merengue, Tango, and Bossa Nova rhythms. Paint It Black (Rolling Stones) as a sublime Tango... We're Not Gonna Take It (Twisted Sister) rolled out as an oom-pa-pa Mexican Polka... Panama (Van Halen) morphed into a scorching Samba... Smoke On The Water (Deep Purple) went Bossa Nova and the list goes on and on... With every lyric lovingly translated from the Berlitz book of Spanish, these gringos are a sight to behold. Prepare to be overwhelmed by the spectacle that is: Los Borrachos!
